In recent times, I have received requests from colleagues and former students interested in knowing more about Womanist and Mujerista theologies. Both are constructed, contextualized theologies that place the differentiated experiences of African-American and Latina women, respectively, at the center of theological inquiry. Since I am neither African-American or Latina, I do not wish to interpret them or explain them in my own words, but I would rather provide an abbreviated reading list so that you can learn to listen to and incorporate their scholarship into your theological diet. They do not share everything in common theologically, but come from a diversity of backgrounds and views, e.g. some are Protestant, some are Catholic.
